Project Manager

About The Role

Reporting to the Head of Project Delivery, the Project Manager will be responsible for leading the development of 44.01’s mineralisation hubs in UAE and, on a need basis, will support Projects in Oman. The development of mineralisation hubs requires sound engineering practices, innovative thinking for Project delivery, strong stakeholder management, and excellent communication and presentation skills.

44.01’s mineralisation hub in UAE will be designed to sequester thousands of tons of CO2 and eventually scale up to millions of tons of CO2 annually from single and/or multiple CO2 capture sources. The mineralisation hub will successfully demonstrate the capture, processing, transportation, monitoring, and permanent sequestration of CO2 using renewable energy.

This role involves the management of project execution, resources, schedules, procurement, budgeting,

risks, and safety regulations throughout the project phases. The role will also involve active engagement with DAC and PSC technology partners, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.

What You'll Do
  • Create and execute project work plans, packages and bid proposals for on-surface and subsurface infrastructure development.
  • Identify resource gaps and build a Team in the UAE to execute the Projects. 
  • Manage all aspects of projects using planning, monitoring, and controlling processes.
  • Manage all the technical aspects of the projects.
  • Propose, review, and approve project expenditures, budgets, and schedules.
  • Management of teams, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project stage gateway reviews and attainment of conditions precedent to such approvals.
  • Drive clear and open communication with project team members and functional groups.
  • Attend the site(s) as often as required to review HSSE, logistics and progress against the project programme.
  • Continually identify project risks and manage mitigation processes.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Support in obtaining permits from appropriate authorities.
  • Actively engage with technology partners and suppliers including DAC, PSC, OEMs, EPC, and other technology providers to ensure successful integration and commissioning of systems on-site.
  • Manage and communicate the status of project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and related issues to the leadership team.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
Who You Are
  • Strong believer and advocate of sustainability and negative emissions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and work with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment.
  • Possessing strong communication, presentation, leadership, and stakeholder management Skills.
  • Possessing strong knowledge of project management and risk management processes.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a bonus.
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering or business management.
  • Experience in the UAE supply chain market and project execution with national oil companies like ADNOC, SNOC, etc., is preferred.
  • Experience in well drilling, well completion, and CO2 injection facilities is desirable.
  • Having 10+ years of experience out of which 5+ years of relevant project management experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Experience in Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) projects is desirable.
